Founded in 1976 by Karl Dutczak, with his son Rick at his side, Karl Business Machines typewriter shop provides maintenance and repair services for vintage typewriters and business equipment. After finishing school, Rick started working at the company full time in 1978 and eventually taking over the company from his father in 1987. Rick has since maintained the family typewriter shop with great pride, providing continued dedication and excellence in serving his customers.
Karl Business Machines is probably one of the last true typewriter shops in the state of New Jersey. Our store is conveniently located in central NJ. We are only an hour drive from Midtown Manhattan, New York or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Nowadays, our customers come to us from all over.
